Binge watching YouTube is not Good?

Binge-watching has hit the 2020 world worse than Coronavirus. Hunkering down on cushy mattresses and cozy blankets, people have made 'watching videos' their ‘Drug of Choice’. At this time, youtubers are having a gala time when their views, likes, shares and subscribers are skyrocketing. In addition to that, YouTube is sheltering 80% more traffic in the first quarter of this year as compared to the previous one. Certainly, that should mean that every quality content publisher on YouTube, who ranks well on a niche should get decent amount of attention. Especially when there are billions craving for audio-visual content. Viewers increase but the Views don't Before the Coronavirus crisis, binge watchers had an appetite for a minimum of 7 videos every time they visit the YouTubian colony. Got shocked right? Now see, YouTube managed to colonise roughly 2 billion minds as per 2018, so that accounts to 14 billion views per month for our fellow YouTubers prior to lock down every

Benefits of a Learner based classroom approach

The inbuilt calendar in my phone shows all the lectures scheduled for a week. While scrolling down, I came across something totally different. On Fridays something called the ‘Topic Seminars’ had to be attended from 10am to 12am. Sounds Interesting! At sharp 9:50 am I found myself seated in a classroom with an assortment of new faces lead by an elegant professor.   After the introduction session, she put up the very first question ‘How do Universities benefit the society?’ Now her question wasn't only for me. It was to be answered as a group activity in which we had to tell how do universities benefit different sections of the society. All the new faces slowly became known and got involved into deep critical thinking. All the answers were recorded and after some more brainstorming we were briefed about the next week’s seminar. Soon it was time to attend the second seminar.   A new kind of challenge awaited for us this time. The task was to conduct a group research on four comp

Difference between Scottish and English education systems

Introduction This literature differentiates between the Scottish and English education systems to explain how they work. Focusing on grammar schools, it analyses the effects of their selective recruitment process of pupils on their performance and compares them to the comprehensive system which the Scottish schools follow. Evidence based upon academic selection on school performance and equity is assessed throughout by referring to the recurring debate about the expansion of grammar schools in England. Further this literature makes recommendations on whether Scotland should introduce grammar schools which were largely abolished earlier (Gorard and Siddiqi, 2018). Towards the end some additional policy measures are suggested. Difference in schooling patterns? Scottish Schools : Ø   The Scottish education system follows their own curriculum for excellence which functions slight differently. Academies can set their own terms and conditions because they don’t follow the Nation

Should a company’s Board of Directors prioritise shareholders over other stakeholders?

Interesting statement but there is some CONFUSION! ‘Shareholder’ and ‘Stakeholder’ sound similar. Don’t they? As much as I know, they both invest in any company. Then what is the difference? 1:‘ So shareholders in every case are stakeholders but stakeholders are not always Shareholders. A shareholder is said to have a partial ownership in a company and can purchase shares through shares of stock. Stakeholders have their interest with the performance of the company for reasons other than stock performance or appreciation. This means that that the stakeholders are benefited when the company performs well in the long run. So that was all to do about the meaning but to further understand the above statement and build our argument, we need to understand who all fall under the categories of shareholders and stakeholders.  Basically shareholders can include any individual, company or organization which has a share in the company. At the same time stakeholders are owners, shareholders, employe

My honest First Semester experience at the University of Edinburgh

Should I go to the University of Edinburgh? 5000 miles away from home, standing at the Edinburgh airport I had a new set of expectations for me. Now was the time to face new challenges and grab all possible opportunities. In my mind I knew that interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds wouldn’t be easy. The fear of making friends all over again was constantly tickling me, especially because English is not my first language. Outside in the arrival area a bunch of university students humbly welcomed me. As suggested by them, I took a taxi and it took about an hour to reach my new home. Welcome to the new World On the way I was wondering how the university would look in real, would my new neighbors be friendly, how would the food be and the biggest question in my mind was whether I would get socially rejected. To my surprise on reaching Lee house everybody seemed friendly and welcoming which I had presumed that people would not be very interactive. The vast diversity

Have you seen water being wasted?

Hello there! The idea of reading long #Save water articles seems boring, isn’t it? But don’t you think it’s important for us to address water problems when more than 40% population of earth can’t enjoy the same cold shower which kick starts our day. So, here is a super short way for you. Analyse these four day-to-day scenarios which all of us face and then decide what is to be done.  1.  We all look stunning, don’t we? It’s just that we realize it while we pout, scowl, wink or display our strangely dazzling teeth in front of the mirror. What we miss is the sound of plopping water while we are busy brushing, cleaning or god knows doing any xyz thing in the sink. This   bit of negligence leads to aqua loss at an astonishing rate of 6 litres/min.   2.    Post eating a finger-lickingly scrumptious meal, what’s left is some soiled dishes to wash. This herculean task can be made simple by chucking all the dishes into the dishwasher despite it operating at full capacity. Abracadabra! Within

World's Dumbest Problem

Wasting food is not a good idea! This fact is very well embossed in the sub-conscious mind of every human, but we all still end up doing it. Some rattle brains such as fussy kids eating in the college cafeteria, couples out on a date or maybe some friends enjoying a party, always end up with leftovers on their plate. According to them, justice is done to the unconsumed eatables by simply chucking them into the bin. Then there are people who say that they never waste food, but never live up to their claim.  Ask yourself a question, “When was the last time I wasted food?”. Probably most of us wouldn’t even bother to look at what’s left in the dishes. Long drives excite most of us, don’t they? During those lovely rides across cities, we are often welcomed by smelly streets, piles of garbage and polluting waste disposal sites. That moment we  immediately roll up the windows to stop the ghastly odour from entering our nostrils and start fidgeting with our mobiles to avoi
